Shoes To Look Out For In 2018

Who else has bought shoes that were in vogue only to find that three
months later they’re officially “out.” But every once in a while a trend comes along
that everyone loves and talks about, and lasts well beyond the season.
Here, five shoe trends that caught our eye this past year and that we plan to see plenty more of in 2018.

CHELSEA BOOTS

If you splurged on a pair of Chelsea boots this year, consider your purchase a good investment. This style has been on the scene in one way or another since the Victorian Era, but it really made its mark in Britain in the 1960s. These days they emit a downtown cool vibe and a timeless style that’s unmatched. Oh, and did we mention they go with everything and are easy to walk in? Trust us, there’s no sign of these fading any time soon.

FLAT MULES

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably noticed these slides everywhere in 2017. And we don’t expect anything to change come the new year. These babies really have it all: A touch of borrowed-from-the-boys cool, a bit of ladylike glamour and the comfort of your trusty flats.

KITTEN HEELS

When these micro heels made their appearance on the spring 2018 runways fashionistas, everywhere breathed a sigh of relief. This trend, although not new, looks fresh when styled with straight-leg jeans (hello, Levi’s 501s) and masculine separates (oversized blazer, anyone?).

OVERSIZED BOWS

Large-scale bows took over this year, adorning everything from pumps and pointy-toe flats to sneakers. And these bows aren’t your average ladylike embellishment—their oversized nature means they’re more edgy than saccharine. Brace yourself for to come.

PLATFORM SANDALS

With so many different iterations, it’s no wonder this trend will continue through 2018. Need some height with a long pair of palazzo pants? Check. Hate wearing heels? Check.
