PMB has appointed Ahmed Rufai Abubakar as substantive DG of the NIA
Abubakar has extensive experience working with the UN in peace support operations,
and also briefly served as Senior Adviser at the Multinational Joint Task Force
According to Femi Adesina, the president’s aide, the appointment takes effect immediately
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Ahmed Rufai Abubakar as substantive Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Punch reports.
The president approved the appointment on Wednesday, January 10, and the development was made public by Femi Adesina, his special adviser on media and publicity.
