How best to wear red without been too obvious.

It’s Valentine’s Day tomorrow and some people just can’t wait to bust out their red outfits. In fact, we’re sure you know someone who has been wearing red clothes
since the beginning of this week. Don’t blame them please, they’re just really excited about the day of love. Red is a great colour to wear anyday, anytime, but for Valentine’s Day, it seems a bit, obvious.

Everybody is expecting everybody else to wear red so people just seem to sink into a sea of red. However, if you really want to make a fashion statement on Valentine’s Day, what you should do is stand out while fitting in. We’ll explain. You can wear red like everybody else but you can do it subtly and be different. Here are five looks to help you achieve that:

Ankara to the rescue

You can wear ankara with a subtle hint of red to get in on the Valentine’s Day action but still look separate from the crowd.

Wear a red brooch

You can pin a red brooch on your shirt or top for a pop of colour without the obviousness of the Valentine’s trend.

Go floral

Wear a floral dress with a touch of red for a unique Vals day fashion statement.

Bag it right

There’s no better day to rock your red bag than Vals day. So bust it out of the closet.

Wear red shoes

Let your shoes do the talking baby girl.
